Fabijan Buntić

Buntić spent six years at FC Ingolstadt 04 before the move that reshaped his career: a free transfer to FC Vizela in July 2022, where he made 67 league appearances across two seasons.

The Stuttgart-born goalkeeper's path started close to home, in the youth ranks of SV Vaihingen and Stuttgarter Kickers before he joined VfB Stuttgart's academy in 2012. He made his senior debut with VfB Stuttgart II in 2016 without featuring in an official league match, then moved to Ingolstadt, first with the reserve side and, from December 2018, in the professional squad. Over four seasons there he made 95 league appearances and scored once.

At Qarabağ, Buntić has settled into a role as backup to Shakhruddin Magomedaliyev, making 15 appearances across competitions in the 2024–25 season. The club claimed the Azerbaijan Premier League title that year, with Buntić registered as part of the squad, and reached the Azerbaijan Cup final, where they let the tie slip 3–2 to Sabah FK after extra time; Buntić did not feature in that match.

Croatian by nationality, he came through the youth ranks of the national team, with seven caps at Under-18 level and six at Under-19, but has not yet been called into the senior side.
