Givairo Read

Givairo Read captained the Netherlands under-19s to the 2025 UEFA European Under-19 Championship, settling the final against Spain 1-0 in Bucharest with an assist for the winning goal. He was named to the tournament's Team of the Tournament for that showing, adding to a run through the youth ranks that began with an under-17 debut in September 2023 and a place at that year's European Under-17 Championship.

He made his first-team debut for the club in the Dutch Super Cup against PSV in August 2024, and has gone on to make 42 appearances, scoring three goals. Domestically, he has already collected the KNVB Beker and the Johan Cruijff Schaal, and in 2024 he was named the Eredivisie's Johan Cruijff Talent van het Jaar.

His form at youth level has drawn attention from well beyond Rotterdam, with reported interest from Bayern Munich, Manchester City, Liverpool and Roma, though none of the rumoured moves has materialised. He took a step up the international ladder with his under-21 debut against Bosnia and Herzegovina in October 2025, continuing a steady progression through the Dutch age groups without yet featuring for the senior side.
