About the player
Irad Mushindi's route into European football followed a path already familiar in Kenya. He began his move to Europe at Enköpings SK in Sweden, arriving in August 2025 after coming through the ranks at KCB Nairobi in the Kenyan Premier League.
His time in Sweden lasted only a few months. In January 2026 he moved on again, this time to FK Liepāja in the Latvian Virsliga, signing a long-term contract that runs to the end of 2029. He now wears the number 22 shirt in Liepāja's midfield.
Internationally, Mushindi has represented Kenya at youth level, making his debut for the under-20 side in the summer of 2025. He was named in the squad preparing for the Africa Cup of Nations U20 in Ivory Coast. His involvement at that level so far amounts to a single cap, without a goal to his name yet.
