Jørgen Nielsen

Jørgen Nielsen came through the youth ranks at NSÍ Runavík, starting out with the reserve side in the second-tier 1. deild before his promotion to the first team in September 2020, when he made his Betri-deildin debut. Appearances were sparse at first — three in his debut season, then 17 across 2021 — before a move to Sweden's Östers IF in March 2022 took him through the club's U19, U21 and senior ranks. He returned to NSÍ Runavík that June and added 15 more league appearances before the season closed.

A switch to B68 Toftir in January 2023 brought 25 league appearances and four goals, and by January 2024 Víkingur Gøta had signed him. He scored eight goals in 17 league games in his first season at the club in 2024, then improved to nine goals in 27 games in 2025, establishing himself as a key striker for Víkingur.

He was a leading figure for the Faroe Islands U21 side, scoring five goals in 11 caps, and produced a hat-trick against Belarus U21 in a 3–2 win on 7 September 2023. He earned a senior call-up in June 2023 for fixtures against Czechia and Albania, though his senior debut did not come until September 2024, in the UEFA Nations League.

All of his moves between clubs came without a transfer fee, whether as free transfers or internal promotions through the ranks.
