Jakob Odehnal

Jakob Odehnal came through Vienna's own football scene, moving from Wiener Sportklub to the Rapid Wien academy before settling at FV Austria XIII, where he made his senior debut and played twelve league matches as a teenager. A move to SCR Altach followed in 2019, though first-team opportunities there were scarce; he spent several seasons behind the club's senior goalkeeper. A loan to FC Dornbirn 1913 in the 2023–2024 season gave him a proper run of games, with 30 appearances in the 2. Liga.

When his contract with Altach was terminated by mutual consent in the summer of 2024, Odehnal signed for Floridsdorfer AC on a free transfer, making 29 appearances in the 2. Liga over the following season. That run of consistent football preceded his move abroad: on 4 July 2025, União de Leiria announced his signing on a free transfer, with the goalkeeper agreeing a two-year contract carrying two further option years.

At international level, Odehnal represented Austria at under-18 level, earning three caps between 2018 and 2019, though he has not featured for the country's under-19, under-21 or senior sides.

At 195 cm, he offers an imposing physical presence between the posts.
