Geraldino Berggraaf

Geraldino Berggraaf joined the club's academy in 2017 from SV Charlois. By the 2024/25 season he had become a regular fixture in the first team, playing 28 league matches in the Eerste Divisie and scoring four goals as Excelsior finished second in the table and earned direct promotion to the Eredivisie.

The step up to the top flight proved harder. In 2025/26, his first season in the Eredivisie, Berggraaf made 24 appearances but did not find the net. Across his time with Excelsior's first team, he has made 56 appearances in all competitions and scored five goals. In July 2026 the club sent him out on loan to Jong AZ, the reserve side of AZ Alkmaar, for the 2026/27 season, with an option to buy included in the deal. His contract with Excelsior runs until 2028.

Berggraaf has also drawn interest at international level. He was called up to the Netherlands under-19 side in October 2024, playing five matches and scoring once. More recently, in December 2025, Curaçao head coach Dick Advocaat said publicly that he wanted to convince Berggraaf to choose Curaçao, pointing to the forward's potential and the team's need for attacking options. He has yet to play a match for Curaçao's senior side.
