About the player
Jismerai Dillema grew up in the FC Groningen academy, working his way from the club's youngest age groups all the way through to the U19 side. The midfielder signed his first professional contract at just sixteen and has since extended that deal to run until June 2028, a sign of how highly the club rates him even before he had kicked a ball for the first team.
Reports from October described him as still waiting for his official debut, yet the club's own records credit him with an Eredivisie appearance in the 2025/2026 season, alongside two outings for the U21s in the same period.
Right-footed and still a teenager, Dillema has yet to collect a goal, an award or a call-up to any Dutch youth or senior international side.
