About the player
Makar Chirkov came through the CSKA Moscow academy before switching to Lokomotiv Moscow's youth ranks, then moved on to Sochi's academy in the summer of 2023. He made his senior debut for Sochi in the Russian Cup in September 2024, followed by his first appearances in the FNL that November and, later, in the Russian Premier League against Lokomotiv Moscow.
Early in 2025 Chirkov went out on loan to Alania Vladikavkaz for the rest of the season, making 11 appearances before that loan was cut short in January 2026 and he returned to Sochi. He had already had a spell on loan at SKA-Khabarovsk starting in September 2025, and after leaving Alania he agreed a fresh, separate loan with the Khabarovsk club for the 2026/27 season. Sochi remain his parent club throughout.
Chirkov has shown an eye for goal from the back: he scored twice in the Premier League for Sochi in the 2025/26 season and has also found the net in the FNL while on loan, both at SKA-Khabarovsk and at Alania. He has yet to be capped at senior international level.
