About the player
Malachi Boateng joined Crystal Palace's academy at the age of 11 and signed his first professional contract with the club in October 2019, though a first-team appearance never came. To find match minutes, Boateng was sent out on loan, first to Queen's Park for the 2022/23 season, where he made 34 appearances and scored twice.
A permanent move followed in the summer of 2024, when Boateng signed for Heart of Midlothian on 3 August. He made 20 league appearances for the Edinburgh club before Plymouth Argyle moved for him on 3 February 2025, agreeing a permanent transfer for an undisclosed fee and tying him to a contract running until 30 June 2028.
At Plymouth, Boateng wore the number 19 shirt during the 2024/25 campaign before switching to number 6 for the current squad.
