Mandy McGlynn

After finishing a college career at Virginia Tech, where she took back-to-back All-ACC First Team honours, she was drafted 20th overall by Sky Blue FC and made her NWSL debut in 2021. She moved to Piteå IF in Sweden, where 26 league appearances and nine clean sheets in the 2022 Damallsvenskan season earned her the Norrstjärnan award as the region's top female footballer.

She returned to the United States and re-signed with Gotham FC, becoming the starting goalkeeper in 2023 and winning the NWSL Championship with the club — a final that ended eventfully, with a red card in the 90+7th minute for handling the ball outside her box. Traded to Utah Royals that December, McGlynn had a breakout 2024 season, making 84 saves and earning a nomination for NWSL Goalkeeper of the Year. In January 2025 she signed a five-year contract extension with Utah, at the time the longest active contract in the league.

Her form carried into the national team picture. Having previously represented the United States at U-20 level, including the 2018 FIFA U-20 Women's World Cup, McGlynn made her senior debut on October 30, 2024, against Argentina, becoming the ninth goalkeeper in USWNT history to keep a clean sheet on debut. She has since gone on to collect further caps, including a place in the squad for the 2026 SheBelieves Cup, which the USWNT won. Along the way she has continued to set personal marks, recording a career-high 11 saves in a single NWSL match and picking up her first career assist in March 2025.
