About the player
At sixteen, Muhammed Emin Sarıkaya was already on the pitch in the Süper Lig, sent on by Bursaspor against Gençlerbirliği to become the fourth youngest debutant in the competition's history. He had joined a few years earlier after starting out at Murat Hüdavendigar.
The Başakşehir years brought a title but little of the credit attached to his own name: he was part of the squad that won the 2019–20 Süper Lig, though he made no league appearances that season. He went on a run of loans that took him around Anatolia rather than through the first team in İstanbul — spells at Yeni Malatyaspor, Ankara Keçiörengücü, Ümraniyespor and Kastamonuspor 1966, with playing time varying sharply from one to the next. He settled into a regular run at Kastamonuspor, with nineteen appearances.
That run persuaded Fatih Karagümrük to sign him on a three-year contract in July 2026.
At youth level, Sarıkaya has been a regular for Turkey, collecting caps across the U15 to U19 age groups and scoring twice, though he has not yet been called up to the senior side.
