Ruslan Bezrukov

Bezrukov joined Neftekhimik Nizhnekamsk in August 2022, played seven matches, and on 30 August of the same month Rubin Kazan signed him from the club for €330,000.

He had come to that point through the FC Rostov academy, where he trained from 2013 to 2021. His senior debut came in September 2021 with SKA Rostov-on-Don, who took him on a free transfer from the academy. In a season and a bit there he made 26 appearances and scored four goals, and the club finished the 2021/22 campaign with the silver medal in the Second Division, Group 1.

At Rubin he signed a four-year contract, since extended to 30 June 2029. In his first season the club won the First League in 2022/23 and went up to the Russian Premier League. He has since passed 90 senior appearances for Rubin and scored more than eight goals; a single outing for Rubin-2 in 2023 sits alongside them.

He is used mainly on the left flank, and often at left-back or wing-back. Both feet are rated as his strong foot, which is part of why the same player fits in midfield and in defence.

In 2024 he was selected for the BRICS Games, where he took part in a joint training session with the Brazil national team. He has not been capped by the senior Russia national side.
