Robin Aime Robert Le Normand

Robin Le Normand was born in Pabu, France, and started out at the Stade Brestois 29 academy, making his senior debut for Brest in Ligue 2 in April 2016. He spent his first seasons with the reserve side, Sanse, before working his way into the first team, where he stayed until the summer of 2024.

At Real Sociedad he won the Copa del Rey, and in July 2024 Atlético Madrid agreed a deal worth around €30 million to sign him, with a five-year contract signed that August. In October 2021 he was named La Liga's Player of the Month, the first defender to receive the award since Diego Godín in 2014.

Le Normand obtained Spanish citizenship in May 2023 and made his debut for Spain the following month, starting in a Nations League semi-final against Italy that Spain won 2–1. He scored his first international goal that November against Georgia in Euro 2024 qualifying. With Spain, he went on to win the Nations League in 2022–23 and started in the final as the side won Euro 2024. He has since seen Spain finish as runners-up in the following Nations League campaign.
