Rodrigo Mendoza Martinez Moya

Rodrigo Mendoza came through Elche's academy after starting out at EF Altorreal, EF San Miguel and Ranero CF, and made his senior bow for the club in the Copa del Rey in November 2022. over four seasons he settled into Elche's midfield, and in 2024/25 he was a key player as the club finished second in Segunda División to win automatic promotion to La Liga. That form took him to Atlético Madrid in February 2026, in a deal worth a base fee of €16 million with add-ons that could push the total to €20 million, and which included a sell-on clause for Elche. He signed a contract running until 2031. He won the Algarve Tournament with the Spain under-17s in 2022 and the Four Nations Tournament with the under-18s. He made his under-21 debut in August 2025 against Cyprus in Euro Under-21 qualifying and has continued to add caps at that level.
