About the player
Born in Alvorada, Brazil, he started out with Londrina, spending his early years shuttling between loan spells at Grêmio Barueri, Foz do Iguaçu and Itumbiara before crossing the Atlantic in 2016.
He added a Finnish Cup in 2021 and, after two years away, returned to Kuopio in 2024 to complete a league and cup double.
Between his spells in Finland, Rangel rarely stayed still. A brief stint at Adana Demirspor in Turkey gave way to a move to Vorskla Poltava in Ukraine, cut short by the war and followed by a loan to Sabah in Azerbaijan. He then joined Latvian champions Riga FC, scoring five goals in 22 appearances, before returning to Ukrainian football with Kolos Kovalivka. A productive 2025 season with KTP, where he scored seven goals in 17 games, preceded a short spell back in Brazil with Capital CF.
