Srđan Babić

Red Star Belgrade signed him in a way that says something about how the club saw him: a loan in July 2017 with an option to buy, then the option exercised in February 2018 for €800,000. He stayed until 2021 and left with three consecutive Serbian SuperLiga titles, 82 appearances and seven goals.

The path there ran through Borac Banja Luka, where he started as a boy in 2001, then Vojvodina, where he made his senior debut in 2014. Real Sociedad B took him in July 2015; a season on loan at Reus brought 11 appearances. Portugal followed in 2020, a season at Famalicão with 29 games and an option to buy at €1.1 million that went unused.

Almería took him on loan in August 2021 and bought him outright the following June for €1,100,000. He won the Segunda División title in his first season there and finished with 75 appearances and four goals before Spartak Moscow paid a reported €5 million in August 2023.

Serbia called him up at senior level in September 2022; he scored his first international goal against Bulgaria in a Euro 2024 qualifier in November 2023. Earlier, he was part of the side that won the 2015 FIFA U-20 World Cup.

In Moscow he was sent off during the mass brawl against CSKA in November 2024 and afterwards criticised the disciplinary ruling in public. An injury against Rostov that season kept him out for around four months; he rejoined winter training in Dubai in February 2026. He has 73 appearances and five goals for Spartak, and a Russian Cup from 2025–26.
