About the player
Samuel Owusu won a Serbian league title before he had turned twenty, helping Radnik Surdulica lift the Serbian First League trophy in the 2014–15 season not long after leaving Ghana's Red Bull academy pipeline and Vision FC.
Saudi Arabia became the next stage of his career in 2019, when Al-Fayha signed him; a loan spell at Al-Ahli followed, and he returned to Al-Fayha to finish with 15 goals in 71 appearances and a King Cup winner's medal in 2021–22.
On the international stage, Owusu has earned 17 caps for Ghana and scored once, netting against Qatar in a 5–1 friendly win. He has featured at two Africa Cup of Nations tournaments, in 2019 and 2021, and in 2021 was named Ghana's Most Influential Youth Footballer.
