Soner Aydoğdu

The move that shaped Soner Aydoğdu 's career came in June 2012, when Trabzonspor paid Gençlerbirliği around €2.3 million for the left-footed midfielder from Ankara's Mamak district. He had come through at Gençlerbirliği, where he made 53 league appearances and scored six goals, with a season on loan at Hacettepe in between. The Trabzonspor years brought 47 league appearances and two goals across four seasons.

In January 2016 he left in a swap deal that also involved Alper Uludağ and Güray Vural, joining Akhisar Belediyespor. He made 67 league appearances and scored seven goals. He was part of the squad that won the 2017–18 Turkish Cup, though he did not play in the final.

Within weeks — on 27 August — he was loaned to Göztepe for a year with an option to buy. He finished with 101 league appearances and 11 goals.

Antalyaspor signed him on a free transfer in June 2022; he played 13 matches. In January 2023 he joined Samsunspor, again for nothing, on a two-and-a-half-year contract. He made a dozen or so league appearances in that second half of the season and scored.

Aydoğdu played for Turkey at every youth level from under-16 to under-21 and won two senior caps, the first in 2012. He left Samsunspor in January 2026 for Bursaspor, once more on a free transfer.
