About the player
Bafdili's path to Sporting CP B ran through three Belgian academies. He started out at Anderlecht, moved on to Mechelen, then spent time at Genk, where he made his senior debut for Jong Genk in the Challenger Pro League in November 2023. Over the 2024–2025 season he made 19 appearances for that side without scoring, before leaving for Portugal in August 2025 to join Sporting CP's B team.
Born in Brussels, Bafdili is of Moroccan descent but has built his international career with Belgium rather than Morocco, working his way up through the youth ranks. He has been capped at under-15, under-16, under-17, under-18 and under-19 level, scoring three goals in twelve appearances for the under-16s and adding another goal for the under-17s.
At Sporting CP B, he is still finding his feet: ten appearances without a goal by the middle of the 2025–2026 season.
