Chichester City

The Isthmian League South East Division play-off final in May 2024 finished 5–0 against Three Bridges, and Chichester City dedicated the win to Graeme Gee, the assistant manager who had died earlier that season. The result sent them up to the Premier Division at Step 3.

That merger, in 2000, joined the old Chichester City, dating to 1873, with Portfield F.C., founded in 1896. The combined side played briefly as Chichester City United before taking back the original name in 2009.

The FA Cup gave the club its widest audience in 2019–20, when a run to the Second Round ended in a 5–1 defeat to Tranmere Rovers, by which point Chichester were the lowest-ranked side left in the competition. Billy Vigar, an Arsenal academy product who joined the club, died in September 2025 after a head injury sustained on the pitch.

Matches against Bognor Regis Town, Haywards Heath Town, Burgess Hill Town and Horsham are grouped locally as the West Sussex Derby. Oaklands Park, home since 2008 after the move from Portfield's old Church Road ground, holds 2,000.
