Jomi Salerno Women

PDO Handball Salerno 1985, a club officially founded in 2005 but carrying the birth year of the side it replaced. The original Handball Salerno had won the Italian title in 2004 and vanished within a few years afterward; the '1985' suffix is what remains of it.

That project has since won ten Serie A Women titles, the most recent in 2024–25, and seven Coppa Italia trophies. Domestically there is little room left for anyone else to breathe, and the club's stiffest test comes from AC Life Style Erice.

Thierry Vincent took over as technical director for the 2024–25 season, arriving to a squad already carrying the weight of that record rather than building toward it. Among the players who have worn the colours, Suleiky Gómez's name has travelled furthest with the club's recent run of titles.

Salerno play in pink and blue, with green reserved for the away kit, and the crowd that follows them fits into Pala Palumbo, a ground that holds 500 people. It is a small room for a team that keeps winning almost everything put in front of it.
