Novohrad Lučenec

The senior club's own history ran through Losonc's Hungarian past and Czechoslovakia's political turns: it began as Losonci AC in 1902, merged with Losonci TK in 1918 to form Losonci AFC, and after the war was renamed in turn TJ Slavoj Lučenec and TJ SZ Lučenec before re-emerging as FK LAFC Lučenec in the 1990s. Its best years came between 2005 and 2011, when it held a place in the Slovak top flight and finished fourth three seasons running, in 2007/08, 2008/09 and 2009/10.

The club still uses the Mestský štadión, known locally as Štadión v Parku, built for 5,000 though only around 1,950 of those places are seated. Its players wear orange shirts and black shorts, and its supporters go by Novohradčania, after the Novohrad region around the town.

The fixture that matters most is against TJ Baník Kalinovo, played as the Novohrad derby; depending on the season and the league grouping, FTC Fiľakovo has carried the same billing.
