Palestine U20

Jordan is the name that keeps coming up. Palestine's under-20 side has met the Jordanians repeatedly at WAFF and Arab Cup level, and the sharpest of those meetings came in the 2022 Arab Cup U-20 playoff round, a 1–1 draw settled 5–4 on penalties in Palestine's favour. Lebanon and Syria turn up too.

The side traces back to 2002, when it played its first recorded international, a 3–1 loss to Iraq in Al Ain. Run by the Palestinian Football Association, it goes by "The Knights." Its one honour of note came in 2019, when it won the WAFF U-20 Championship. Three years later it reached the semi-finals of the Arab Cup U-20, where Saudi Arabia beat them 0–5, leaving them fourth.

The Faisal Al-Husseini International Stadium in Al-Ram, a 12,500-seat ground with a synthetic pitch, hosts the team's qualifiers and friendlies. Players who have passed through include Mahmoud Abu Warda and Wessam Abou Ali, who went from the U19/U20 ranks to spells with Al-Faisaly in Jordan and Al-Ahli in Saudi Arabia.

What the team has not managed is a place at the AFC U20 Asian Cup finals. It has gone through qualifying rounds, including the 2023 and 2025 campaigns, without getting past them.
