Strasbourg Women

Few fixtures on the women's calendar in Alsace carry the edge of the meeting with FC Metz Féminines; both clubs call it the Derby de l'Est.

The section did not start as a senior team. It was set up in 2011 around a single under-7 side, and only five years later, in 2016–17, did a first team begin playing competitive football at all. The wait for a first honour was longer still: Division 2 Féminine in 2023–24, a title that brought the club its first-ever promotion to Division 1 Féminine.

Matches are played at the Stade de la Meinau, shared with the men's side. The badge is the same one worn by the men's team, a stork on a red diagonal band with the initials RCS, rather than a separate crest for the women's section.

In the 2025–26 Coupe de France Féminine, Strasbourg reached the quarter-finals. The squad built for that push mixes academy graduates such as Marie-Morgane Sieber with recruits from bigger clubs, among them Manssita Traoré, signed from Paris Saint-Germain in June 2025. The name that carries furthest beyond Strasbourg, though, is Ana-Maria Crnogorčević, the Swiss international who joined in January 2026.
