Winslow United

Buckingham Town sit twelve miles down the road, and Winslow United have been settling the argument with them since 1898: 112 meetings, Buckingham ahead 64 wins to 39. Stotfold F.C. present a different kind of problem, a club they have run alongside near the top of the Spartan South Midlands League Division One with a title on the line rather than a postcode.

The name itself came out of a merger. Winslow Town, formed in 1891, became Winslow United four years later when Winslow Rovers joined them, and it is under that combined name that the club has spent most of its history working through the lower reaches of Buckinghamshire football. North Bucks & District League champions in 1966, then South Midlands League Division One champions in 1975. The Spartan South Midlands League Division One play-offs, won in 2024 and again in 2026.

Mark Osborn has carried the goalkeeping shirt through that recent run. He arrived in 2013 with Wycombe Wanderers already behind him.

Yellow shirts and blue shorts have been the club's colours for long enough that "The Ploughmen" fits them without needing explaining. They play in front of around 2,000 at Winslow Sports Club on Elmfields Gate, with room for 100 of that number to sit.
