Amaan Stadium
Zanzibar City, Tanzania
Formerly: Amani Stadium, Uwanja wa Amaan, New Amaan Sports Complex
The ground sits on the island of Unguja. The sightline from the main stand is unbroken, but the real change is the white membrane roof that covers the entire auditorium. It stretches over the seating, and the green, red, and blue plastic seats sit underneath it. Four tall floodlight masts stand at the corners of the field, casting light onto the synthetic turf for night matches.
The stadium was re-inaugurated on December 27, 2023, with a match between the Zanzibar national team and Kilimanjaro Stars. The stands on the curves have been extended to match the main stand.
High-profile fixtures have been played here, including matches for the 2024 African Nations Championship and the second leg of the 2025 CAF Confederation Cup Final between Simba SC and RS Berkane. Local clubs like KMKM FC and Miembeni S.C. use the ground for their league matches, and the annual Mapinduzi Cup is also held here.
