The surface has its own back story. Artificial turf went down in 2003, carried the ground through the following years and was showing its age by 2017, worn enough that talk turned to a rebuild. Somewhere after that the pitch reverted to grass, and it is natural turf that hosts matches now. In 2019 the running track around the field was redone, a 382,000-euro job that tidied up the athletics side of the site without touching the stand or the terracing.
There is no floodlighting. Capacity sits at 4,000, enough for the clubs that call it home without the ground reaching for more.
