The facility sits in Macquarie Park, a suburb of Sydney, but it does not look like a traditional stadium.

The turf here is synthetic, laid down during a 2018 redevelopment funded by the City of Ryde Council. This change converted the site into an all-weather venue, a decision that allows matches to proceed regardless of the weather. The surface is marked out for full-size play, though the surrounding area feels more like a community sports complex than a professional arena.

The club, NWS Spirit FC, plays its home fixtures here alongside Gladesville Ryde Magic FC, both competing in the National Premier Leagues. The facility opened in 1990, but the most significant shift in its character came with the installation of the FIFA-accredited synthetic fields.

Attendance figures suggest a local following rather than a national draw. For the bulk of the year, however, the ground serves the local community, offering a consistent playing surface in an urban environment. The Ross Iredale Building stands adjacent to the pitch, housing administrative offices and amenities, a testament to the long-term commitment of the North West Sydney Football Association to the site.
