Stadium
Eisarena Bremerhaven
Bremerhaven, Germany
The venue is an indoor ice hockey arena in the Mitte district of Bremerhaven, Germany. It opened in March 2011, replacing an older ice stadium that had become too small for the Deutsche Eishockey Liga (DEL). The primary tenant is the Fischtown Pinguins, who play their home matches here. The DEL is the top professional league in the country, and the team has used the rink for semi-finals and quarter-finals against sides like EHC Red Bull München and ERC Ingolstadt.
The capacity has changed slightly since the opening. Originally, there were 4,647 places, but for the 2025/26 season, 120 new loge boxes were added, bringing the total to 4,767. The floor is a permanent ice rink, though a cover system allows the space to host other events during the warmer months. Beyond hockey, the arena holds public skating sessions and an ice disco. There is no commercial sponsor in the name; it remains Eisarena Bremerhaven. The opening match was a sold-out affair where the Pinguins beat Hannover Indians 3:1. Later, the venue hosted matches for the IIHF U20 World Championship Division I Group A in December 2017. The building has never had a former name.
Kaiserplatz sits between the river and the road. The white roof is the most striking feature, curving over the dark exterior. Fischtown Pinguins play here. The arena also hosts international youth tournaments.
