Eissporthalle Peiting
Peiting, Germany
Formerly: Eisstadion Peiting
The building at Alfons-Peter-Straße 4 opened in November 1972, though construction had begun five years earlier. The facility is known by two names: the older Eisstadion Peiting and the current Eissporthalle Peiting.
The capacity sits at 2,500, a number that feels modest rather than ambitious. EC Peiting plays its home games here, competing in the Oberliga Süd.
The surface is ice, of course, but the atmosphere is defined by the people who use it outside of professional hours. Hobby players and Eisstockschützen, practitioners of a traditional German ice sport, share the time slots with the pros. This creates a rhythm where the arena is never truly empty, even when the lights are dimmed.
