Aucas play in a stadium named after one of their own. Gonzalo Pozo Ripalda, remembered in the club by the nickname "Pochito", gave his name to the ground in Chillogallo in November 2013.
The ground took years to arrive: building work began in 1987, and the stadium did not open until February 1994, with a friendly against Colombia's Junior de Barranquilla that Aucas lost 1-4.
It has also hosted finals beyond Aucas's own business, taking neutral duty for the 2025 Supercopa Ecuador between Liga de Quito and El Nacional, and it staged women's continental football, with matches from the Copa Libertadores Femenina in 2022 and the Copa América Femenina in 2025. El Nacional themselves borrowed the ground as a temporary home through the 2024-25 season while sorting out problems with their own stadium.
