Kielce built its stadium not as a showpiece but as a replacement worth naming three times over. Opened on 1 April 2006, the venue hosted Korona Kielce against Zagłębie Lubin in its first match, a 1:1 draw that gave the new ground nothing more dramatic than a fair result.

What sets it apart locally is the sponsor churn: Stadion Miejski until 2014, then Kolporter Arena, then Suzuki Arena from 2018, and EXBUD Arena since June 2024. Four names in under two decades is not unusual for Polish football, but few grounds have cycled through them at this pace while the club itself stayed put.

The pitch runs on undersoil heating, a detail worth more in Świętokrzyskie winters than in the capacity figures. Those figures move depending on the fixture — 15,700 seats for international matches, marginally less for domestic league rounds, the kind of discrepancy that shows up whenever a stadium built for one competition format gets pressed into another.

That says something about how the ground has functioned since 2006 — as Korona Kielce's home first, a piece of civic infrastructure second.
