Hockey City
Saint Petersburg, Russia
The Hockey City arena in Saint Petersburg sits quietly beside the city’s larger professional stages, but its scale tells a different story. The Sporting Complex "Hockey City SKA" sits on Rossiyskiy Avenue, and while the main ice hall is the centre of the site, it is a facility for the SKA-1946 side in the Junior Hockey League (MHL) and the SKA-VMF club in the Higher Hockey League (VHL) .
The building is not a showpiece. The complex opened in 2017 after four years of work by the Stroytransgaz-M contractor.
The venue does not carry a former name, nor does it sit on a historic patch of the city.
