Jakarta International Stadium

For most of its planning life the ground carried the name of the park beside it: Stadion BMW, after Taman BMW — Bersih, Manusiawi dan Berwibawa. The name went during redevelopment under Governor Anies Baswedan, and the venue opened in Tanjung Priok as the Jakarta International Stadium.

It opened twice. A soft opening on 13 April 2022 put the International Youth Championship on the pitch; the formal opening followed on 24 July 2022, Persija Jakarta against Chonburi F.C. Persija had moved across the city from the Gelora Bung Karno Stadium that same year and have stayed. The Indonesia national team use the ground for selected matches.

The surface is hybrid — Zoysia matrella stitched through Limonta Mixto artificial fibre under the GrassMaster system — and it needed attention early. Flooding brought repairs to the pitch and the drainage after opening, work completed in time for the 2023 FIFA U-17 World Cup, when the stadium took 16 matches, quarter-finals among them.

Football has not yet filled the bowl. The record for a match is 29,389, set on 14 September 2025 against Bali United FC, in a ground built for 82,000. Concerts have drawn more: Dewa 19 played to 75,000 in 2023, against 21,954 for TWICE the same year. Ed Sheeran and Bruno Mars followed in 2024, Maroon 5 were scheduled for 2025, and the K-pop bill has run from Enhypen and NewJeans through Stray Kids, Seventeen, Le Sserafim and NCT DREAM. The closing ceremony of Jakarta's 495th anniversary was held here on 25 June 2022.
