Madeley has outrun its name.
Kingsway Reserve opened in 1983. The site had been a collection of clubrooms since 1974, but the reserve put them under one roof. The City of Wanneroo built it, and the City of Wanneroo still runs it. The main pitch is natural grass, though two outfields were laid with artificial turf in 2020 when the state government threw $4 million into the project.
The complex has a grandstand—250 seats under cover—and that is about all the structure the place has kept. The official capacity is 2,000.
Adelaide United came in 2024, Wellington Phoenix in 2025, and the 2020 Division Two Night Series Final was played here.
The place does not look like a modern arena, and it does not pretend to be one.
