Kongsvinger Ishall
Kongsvinger, Norway
Formerly: Kongshallen
It replaced the original Kongshallen, a smaller venue that was demolished in January 2013. The new building opened on November 23 of that year, replacing the old hall that had stood since 1992. The capacity is 2,000, a significant increase from the 550 seats in the previous structure. It is owned by the municipality and serves as the home for the Kongsvinger Knights, who play in the 1. divisjon.
Gjemselund Stadion lies just 150 metres to the northwest, and the station is a kilometre away to the southeast. The Knights were reorganized after a bankruptcy in December 2018 and returned to the second tier in 2022-2023 after finishing second in the lower division. The club changed its name from KIL Hockey in 2004. The current head coach is Tom Ivar Hesbråten, who took over in 2024. The website kilishockey.no lists the information, though the arena itself has not had any sponsorship naming rights attached to it.
