LDS "Khimik" named after N.S. Epstein

Voskresensk, Russia

Formerly: LD 'Podmoskovye'

The ice palace on ul. Mendeleeva has been the home of HC Khimik Voskresensk since it opened in 1966. Architect Yu. A. Regentov designed the building, which began construction the previous year and hosted its first match against the Czech club ZKL Brno on September 25, 1966. A major capital repair and reconstruction took place in 2004, updating the refrigeration systems that maintain the natural ice surface.

In 1971, the Soviet children's sports film 'Tigry na ldu' was shot on its ice. Legendary figure skaters Lyudmila Belousova and Oleg Protopopov trained there. It also hosted USSR Cup zone tournaments and 'Zolotaya Shayba' finals. The official website for the sports complex is mu-sk-himik.ru, while the club maintains its own presence at voshimik.ru. No official all-time attendance record was found in the sources, and the figure remains unrecorded.

The venue is the LDS 'Khimik' named after N.S.
