Marienlystcentret

Frederikssund, Denmark

The ground sits on Kalvøen, reclaimed land near Roskilde Fjord that lies at or below sea level, making it vulnerable to flooding. On December 6, 2013, the venue was completely inundated by storm surge Bodil, damaging the clubhouse and pitches. The club operated from temporary containers for nearly two years until the clubhouse was renovated and reopened in the summer of 2015.

The site has a complex history: it was originally constructed as a speedway track, opening on August 26, 1934, following a project initiated in 1933 to reduce unemployment. The speedway venue operated until 1939, after which the site transitioned to its primary use as a football stadium. The construction was managed by A/S Frederikssund Stadion, established on August 23, 1933.

The venue located at Kalvøvej 9, 3600 Frederikssund, Denmark, is currently known as Frederikssund Stadion. It serves as the home ground for the football club Frederikssund IK (Frederikssund Idrætsklub). The current capacity is approximately 1,000 to 1,200 spectators, with a small stand providing seating for 98 people. The playing surface of the main pitch is natural grass (Danish: græs), although the club also maintains one artificial turf pitch and six other 11-a-side grass pitches, two of which have lighting.
