Mogilev Ice Sports Palace
Mogilev, Belarus
Inside, the space is dedicated to the ice. The Mogilev Ice Sports Palace serves as the home for HK Mogilev, the local club that has competed in the Belarusian Extraliga since its inception. The team has navigated several name changes, shifting from Химволокно back to Могилёв, but the arena has remained their constant. The facility was designed to host up to 4,000 people for concerts, but for hockey, the capacity settles at 3,048. It is the first ice arena in the Mogilev region, meaning it holds a specific place in the local sporting history. The architects Marat Grodnikov and Andrey Veretennikov laid out the plans in 2000, and the building has not undergone any major renovations or rebuilds since then.
