Old Road sits at the smaller end of the Cymru Premier, and that is really the story of the place. Briton Ferry Llansawel have played here since before the club had a settled name, back to the days when Briton Ferry Athletic helped found the Welsh League.

What has changed is who pays for it. In March 2025 the ground took on a sponsor's name, The Renewable Centre Stadium , under a deal with Renewable Centre Wales.
