The Pabellón Municipal Vicente Trueba in Torrelavega wears its history on its face, or at least it does once you look at the roof.

The venue has not undergone any name changes or sponsor renamings since its opening, keeping the name of Vicente Trueba Pérez, a local cyclist who was the first winner of the Mountains Classification in the Tour de France in 1933. The facility serves as the home ground for two professional teams: Bathco Balonmano Torrelavega, which competes in Liga ASOBAL, and Grupo Alega Cantabria CBT, a basketball team playing in Primera FEB.

The pavilion hosts cultural events as well, including concerts like the performance by the pop group Los Puntos in August 2014 during the "Diamantes Musicales" festival, and the Spanish Table Tennis Championship for the Deaf in March 2022.
