Panetolikos Stadium

Agrinio built its ground before it built a stand. The pitch went into use in 1930, but the small stand didn't go up until the mid-1950s, so for two decades or so the club played on a marked field with people standing around it. That gap says something about a town backing a team before it had the means to house it properly.

The stadium sits in the Klepaìtika district in the north of town, hemmed in by four streets — Prousiotìssis, Vlahernòn, Nikitarà and Vlohoù — with the entrance address at Prousiotìssis 15. It is not a ground you stumble on from a ring road; it sits inside the residential grid, close enough that the stands crowd right up against the natural grass pitch.

That arrangement, unusual for a Greek top-flight ground, has kept the place tied closely to the club's own identity rather than to any civic authority.
