Prince Saud bin Jalawi Stadium

Al Khobar, Saudi Arabia

Plans announced in January 2023 will change this ground more than anything since it opened: architects at Populous have drawn up a redesign for the AFC Asian Cup 2027 that strips out the running track, pushes capacity toward 22,000–25,000 seats — with some projections running as high as 45,000 — and carries an estimated price tag of around $155.5 million.

Until that work begins, the stadium keeps the shape it has had since 1983: a coastal-road ground linking Al Khobar and Al Dammam, in the Al Rakah district, with a natural grass pitch and a capacity that different counts have placed anywhere between 11,500 and 20,100.

Al-Qadsiah FC has called it home since the day it opened, giving club and ground a shared history that predates almost every stadium project now reshaping Saudi Arabia's top flight.
