Raudondvario stadionas takes its name from the settlement it stands in, just outside Kaunas, and the ground it replaced was a school pitch that had been there since the last century. What sits at Atgimimo gatvė 1 now is a different building altogether: the reconstruction plan was signed off in 2022, work started in the spring of 2023, and the finished stadium opened on 22 September 2024.
FC Hegelmann made it their home ground once the rebuild was finished, and the women's side KRFA, the Kauno rajono futbolo akademija team, plays its A lyga matches there as well.
