The Salza-Halle sits inside a town. The rebuild finished on 26 September 2020 after a year of work that replaced the roof with a free-spanning structure held from pylons and added a new north tribune, the Nordtribüne, to bring the official capacity up to 2,000. The club's matches here are frequent enough that the hall is a stop on the EHF European League circuit as well as the domestic league, though the team also plays home games in Nordhausen at the Wiedigsburghalle.
The renovation brought a central ventilation system sized for 1,900 occupants and barrier-free sanitation on the eastern side, upgrades that were as much about modern standards as about sport.
The building is also used for school sports by the adjacent Salza-Gymnasium. It has never been renamed; the name Salza-Halle has remained unchanged since the opening.
