The ground sits at the foot of a hill in Serravalle. The surface is a bright green hybrid system.
Built in 1969, the stadium became the home of the San Marino national side and several domestic clubs. It was renamed Stadio Olimpico di Serravalle in 1985 to mark the Games of the Small States of Europe, before reverting to San Marino Stadium in 2014 following a renovation that added a gym and a television studio. The capacity is listed as 6,664, though the number has varied, with records showing a maximum of 5,000 for matches such as the 2009 friendly against Andorra and the 2006 European Championship qualifier against Germany.
The stadium hosted matches during the 2019 UEFA European Under-21 Championship, but its most enduring memory is perhaps the first European Championship qualifying point for the national team, a 0–0 draw with Estonia in 2014. The annual Coppa Titano final is played here, and the hybrid grass, installed in 2009 and renovated in 2023, ensures the pitch remains consistent through the winter months.
