It arrived from Helsingborgs IF, donated after they moved from their own Olympia stadium. The pieces were transported to Västra Götaland County to meet the strict standards of the Allsvenskan when Ljungskile SK played in the top flight.

The capacity has tightened over the years. Originally designed to hold thousands on terraces, the standing areas were converted to seating to satisfy regulations, bringing the number down to 5,715. It remains a dedicated football arena, far from the national finals or concerts that might fill larger venues.
