Sportpark De Boshoek

Situated in the flat landscape of Overijssel, Sportpark De Boshoek is a modest venue. HHC Hardenberg moved to this site in 1970 from their previous ground, De Marsch. The opening ceremony was performed by Prince Claus of the Netherlands.

The ground feels anchored in its surroundings. Unlike the manicured artificial surfaces of many modern training complexes, the main pitch is natural grass, a distinction maintained despite the conversion of other fields within the park to artificial turf for youth sides. The capacity is listed at 4,500, though historical records from the Dutch football archive Voetbalarchieven suggest an earlier figure of 4,000; current consistency favours the higher number.

Nothing about the venue suggests it was built for spectacle. Yet it has become a venue for unexpected drama. On November 1, 2023, the ground hosted Eredivisie side Heracles Almelo in a KNVB Cup first-round match. The crowd reached 4,200, setting a new attendance record for the stadium, as HHC Hardenberg defeated their opponents 2–0. The match was broadcast live on ESPN. The cup run continued into December, with a narrow loss to AZ Alkmaar after extra time.

The club has not changed the name of the stadium, nor has it undergone major structural renovations. Recent investment has focused on maintenance and youth facilities rather than expansion.
