Stadion na Banovo Brdo
Belgrade, Serbia
Formerly: Stadion na Banovom brdu
The stadium takes its everyday name from the neighbourhood around it rather than from the club, and locals still call it after Banovo Brdo more often than they use the official Stadion FK Čukarički. That habit outlasted two rebuilds.
The ground opened in 1969 with a single open stand on the east side and held roughly 3,000 people for decades. Work in 2012 and 2013 added a west stand and floodlights, and the first match played under the new lights came on 18 August 2013, when Čukarički beat Sloboda Užice 1:0. A second phase of construction, finished between 2018 and 2019, brought a further west-side stand and a section set aside for away supporters, taking the ground to its present capacity.
The pitch sits in a residential pocket of Banovo Brdo, on Beogradskog bataljona, some way from the crowds around the Marakana or Partizan's stadium in the city centre — a location that has kept the ground modest in scale even as its capacity grew.
