The playing surface is modern. It is an artificial pitch, installed in January 2023, replacing the previous worn-out ground. The stadium does not have floodlights, so play is limited to daylight hours.
This ground has hosted international fixtures outside of football. It was the venue for the Rugby Europe U18 European Championship in April 2017 and has since staged senior rugby matches between Slovakia and Hungary. The stadium has not undergone official renaming and has consistently been known as Štadión PFK Piešťany. Notable renovations include a successful project in 2021 where approximately €1 million was invested. The original opening year and builder of the stadium are not documented in available sources.
